This letter is a draft that will be rewritten as the campaign unfolds. In its current form, it gives you, the fans, an idea of what we will present to Paramount sometime next year. This letter serves as a precursor to a meeting between Mr. Brad Grey, members of his staff and a member from the Operation: Paramount staff.
Dear Mr. Grey, By now, I am sure you are aware of the "Make a Deep Space Nine Television Mini-Series" campaign and the heart of the campaign which is Operation: Paramount. Over a year ago, my staff and I rallied hundreds of loyal Deep Space Nine fans from across America and collected over 1,000,000 signatures in an effort to bring DS9 back to television. We believe DS9’s broad and ever-increasing fan base makes the idea for a television mini-series highly profitable and timely. I am extremely proud of our achievements and want to offer you the opportunity to benefit from our campaign. Shortly, someone from my staff will call your office to schedule a time to meet with you. Our purposes are to present an analysis of our campaign results, a strategy for targeted television ratings and demonstrate that making a DS9 television mini-series is a sound, profitable venture that will be supported by millions of loyal fans. We believe our plan can extend the Star Trek universe in new and exciting ways. We sincerely hope you will be an advocate for what is becoming known as a "rebirth" of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
